IT Service Desk Technician

We are currently hiring for a Full-Time Service Desk Technician.

The candidate will be involved in all aspects of IT support for all Snowcloud Services clients. The position is responsible for providing first level IT support for customers hardware, software, and network related problems and questions. Responsible for answering customer support lines, generating trouble tickets, working with second and third level support to ensure user problems are addressed. Technical skills and experience are desirable as well as situational awareness in all aspects of the surrounding environment.

In general, you will:

-Receive calls from our clients support and document issues

-Dispatch to client sites in the event of an emergency or a problem that cannot be solved remotely -Perform routine checks on the status of backup systems

-Update and maintain both client-facing and internal documentation

-Research new technologies; provide suggestions for changes and improvements that reduce cost and/or increase productivity and efficiency

-Develop, deploy, and manage IT-related projects as assigned

-Other related duties as assigned

Knowledge & Experience

-At least two years’ experience in IT service

-Ability to use online resources to resolve issues

-Solid experience in Mac and PC support

-A solid grounding in core Office applications (Word, Outlook, etc.)

-Strong troubleshooting methodology -Strong data privacy practices

Interpersonal Skills

-Must be a people-person to get hired here

-Critical thinking skills with problem-solving abilities

-Understanding of business and organizational goals and objectives

-Superior written and oral communication skills

-Excellent documentation skills

-Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language

-Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in entrepreneurial environments

-Ability to build and extend existing client relationships

-Enjoy self-supervision and working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

*What to Expect

  • You will be fielding calls from our clients at our office in downtown Juneau. Working with other staff at SCS you will be responsible for resolving client problems as you are able and escalating any issues outside of your technical abilities

Experience:

  • IT service: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Troubleshooting: 1 year (Preferred)
  • IT Service Management: 1 year (Preferred)

Salary: $38,000.00 to $52,000.00 /year
